Dr. Swati’s reasons for becoming a physician are two-fold:
First, she has always loved science.
Second, she appreciates the connections that being a physician allows her to make with people for the sake of health and well-being.
She has always been drawn to science, the human body, the systems, and understanding how things work. However, she also really enjoys connecting with people and helping others on a personal level. Medicine is a perfect blend of these interests and she truly loves her work.
Coming to work every day isn't a challenge for Dr. Swati, which reinforces her belief that she chose the perfect profession for herself.
She works with a great group of people be it the staff or the patients, so she really enjoys being at her workplace. One of the biggest privileges of being a physician is just being a part of my patients' lives. It’s great to help people feel better when they are sick, comfort them when they are down, watch their children grow, and share in their experiences. She makes sure that patients have all the information they need about their health, so they leave their appointment feeling confident in their care.
She likes to explain to the patients so they feel empowered about their health conditions. helping patients understand their health and things they can do on their own as well as medications or therapies that could be helpful. She wants her patients to be able to make informed decisions about their health rather than feel lost or confused, so she encourages questions and does her best to explain things thoroughly.
